Welcome to the Mountain Brook High School wrestling team web
site. This site is dedicated to any and all information
dealing with the Spartan wrestlers. This group of young men,
under the direction of Coach Bert Newton, Coach Steve Knutson,
Coach Justin Luck, Coach John Milton, Coach Jeff Harris, and Coach Tad Brisendine is in constant pursuit of excellence on
the mat. Check out our schedule and make time to see these
young men in action. Spartan wrestling is dedicated to "6
minutes +" of action.

Ben Bridell is this week's
wrestler of the week as he becomes Mountain
Brook's first State Champ since 1987!

At
the end of each weekend the coaching staff will select
a wrestler of the week. On Monday mornings the new
wrestler of the week will be revealed and a brief
summary of the wrestler's accomplishments for the
previous week will be provided. There are a few key
factors that come into the selection of this
individual. First, is the performance in competition
during the week. Second, will be the dedication and
hard work displayed in practice. Finally, the
wrestler's attitude will be taken into consideration
(i.e. team player). Take time out on Monday and see
how hard work pays off for the "Wrestler of the
Week".
